Oh, and one last thing...

In Need for Speed Underground, you get online race challenges. In this map, even at my beginner level, I was challenged by ghosts. With my modded Civic I was smoking them. With my Scooby, I was miles ahead.

So, it does have a bit of "Underground" feel to it. But not convincing.

It's a great game as it's an open world map. The racing is great.

However... IT'S ARCADEY TYPE OF RACING. It's not full on racing simulator style. The graphics are great and it's a great attempt to bring more people playing the game on an online racing "world". But, it's too easy. I took all the assists off and pretty much stayed on the racing line and drifted like a proper DK.

I'm on level 8 and that's from racing, exploring, auctioning cars (bought an S2000, EK9, R34, ETC) all in one night of playing. I was also gifted a house and currently have about 420 000CR in my account. That's after buying cars and modding them.

I'll be on tonight again trying to complete as many races as possible to progress to the online multi-player level (you need to unlock this before playing against your Chinas). I can't give an online rating as yet. Hopefully, the online multi-player is more difficult.

9/10 - GREAT GRAPHICS
9/10 - OPEN WORLD MAP
5/10 - IT'S TOO EASY

Is it worth R1000. NO. Get it for free on Gamepass.

Ok...

So after a good couple of weeks of constant playing, the game is ok. Not R1000 ok but ok for passing time.

The content grows as you play. The prizes at the end of races (wheelspin) can range from a hooter sound, hat, jacket, credits or even a car.
Gameplay is pretty much the same as when I first played - it's easy. Very arcade like.

My biggest gripe, is racing in the free-world vs a racetrack. You go off and hit a tree or miss a check point and your race is pretty stuffed. You have to join the race and hope that one of your competitors crashes. But, being from the Cape Flats, I often say: "This game's ma se p*** " and that's the end of it.

Online gameplay with the clan is lekker competitive - except when one oke insists on racing a supercar and you're driving a '73 Ford Escort or a '05 Scooby.

The BIGGEST plus on the game, is that VTEC actually has the sound and kick on the EK9.

It's not worth R1000. But great as a freebie.

Yeah, the car sounds are awesome. First game that I've played where you hear the actual switch over on the vtec system.

RATTIX told me you could hear the crossover in Forza 4.

Meanwhile it was the trains going past his house in Lentegeur

lol you could hear vtec since Forza 4 - I've owned them all.

This my first attempt at the Horizon game, it's fun to mess around with but as a racing game its pretty boring. Way too easy like Ty said.

There was kind of a story line in the beginning but then it just stops and you don't know what to do next lol.

There's no race count down so you start before you even have a chance to rev the damn car up
