Anyone on the forum from Pietermaritzburg?

Postby Lukie » Wed Jul 11, 2018 3:12 pm

Hi all

So as the subject states, are there any Pietermaritzburg residents on the forum who would be so kind to view / inspect a car that side on my behalf? The car in question is a 06 Honda Accord Type S.

Please let me know if there's someone who can assist on here?

Thanks in advance manne.

To be honest, asking someone whom you've never met to check out something that you're going to spend a lot of money on, is like asking Dougell to take your 18yr old daughter to her matric ball.

Why not contact the local Honda dealership, pay the required inspection fee and proceed from there? If the seller is willing, then you'll have a good start to the transaction and can negotiate on pricing - should that need arise.

not true.. i did it and worked out fine. Just give them a checklist
i was also fortunate that Jono (desolation) knows his way around a mazda.
so find someone who is clued up with cars, then you do research on the cars issues and ask that person to check for those faults and issues.

We do it all of the time for our private clients. The workshop charges an hour labour, does a 35 point check and I can run VIN numbers to check out NATIS issues. That way, the client has a good foundation.

Or... get the guy to take the car to the AA. I personally prefer a dealer but the AA is also an option.

Everyone has their own perception of "Neat,Good condition ,mint" etc

Just cause someone is always around cars doesn't mean he is up to your standards , Some people miss the small things like a window rubber that has off spray or a oem sticker thats out of place or a door/panel that has been worked on so much it has a ripple effect
